About Brie

Brie Abramowicz is a Senior Buyer & Brand Manager for Target’s Food & Beverage division where she is responsible for both product development and category management of private label products. Her current role covers a lot of meaty (pun intended) subject areas: new item development, strategic sourcing, and merchandising. She has experience working directly with both perishable and non-perishable food & beverage categories.

Prior to joining Target, Brianne pursued her MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. While at UNC, Brie co-founded FoodCon, an inaugural conference now in its 4th year, to provide both students and industry professionals with an inter-disciplinary forum to discuss current trends in the food industry. She also was a Graduate Fellow for the Food Security Group, where she scouted promising Seed & Series A round food & agriculture startups seeking capital investment. Funded companies include: Lucky Iron Fish, Kuli Kuli,  Till Mobile, and Green Zebra Grocery.

She brings with her 10 years of combined experience in the financial services & retail sectors. Her passion is to both build & enable up-and-coming food brands and technology platforms.

In her spare time, Brie is a freelance food blogger and consultant. She also serves as a mentor for the Target Techstars Accelerator Program in Minneapolis. Mentee companies include: ItsByU, MakersKit, and Inspectorio. She has also spoken at various food conferences including: Babson Food Day and Thought for Food Challenge Summit.
